TROON GOLF SELECTED TO MANAGE MARIN COUNTRY CLUB
Scottsdale, Ariz. – Troon Golf,® the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce it has been selected to manage Marin Country Club, one of the most respected private clubs in Northern California.
Nestled in a beautiful valley just outside of San Francisco in Novato, Calif., Marin Country Club offers full-service amenities that include an 18-hole golf course, indoor/outdoor golf training facility, fitness center, four tennis courts, three pools and a well equipped golf shop. Its elegant clubhouse also features casual and fine dining for members and a ballroom for weddings, banquets and special events.

Designed by John Harbottle, the recently renovated golf course boasts reconfigured bunkers and new greens. The course has been home to the 1993 U.S. Open Championship qualification tournament, the 2004 U.S. Amateur Qualifying Championship, and most recently the 2008 U.S. Open Senior Amateur Qualifying Tournament.
The course has been augmented by years of careful grooming and thoughtful improvements. New cart paths were added within the last few years, old wooden bridges have been replaced with beautiful stone structures and a large lake provides refreshing vistas from most of the course. A creek, water hazards and natural barriers virtually eliminate parallel fairways, providing beauty, challenge and excitement on every hole.
