TROON INTERNATIONAL APPOINTED BY BANGALORE’S KARNATAKA GOLF ASSOCIATION

Troon, the market leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing has announced that its International Division has signed a partnership with Karnataka Golf Association (KGA), located in Bangalore, India.

Already a renowned 18-hole course designed by Thomson and Woolveridge and opened in 1989, Troon International will work closely with the team at KGA to enhance the course and push it into the international sphere, attracting players globally. Through their expertise in agronomy and golf course conditioning, Troon will help to guide the greenkeeping team to ensure that the course is kept in top condition year round.

“Karnataka Golf Association houses a fantastic course and a wide range of facilities” commented Mark Chapleski, President of Troon International. “These amenities give the complex the potential to be a world class golfing destination and Troon are thoroughly looking forward to working in developing its agronomic reputation alongside the staff currently on the ground.”

Karnataka Golf Association is recognised for its par 72 6,945 yard course; however, it is also graced with a large driving range, idyllic clubhouse, swimming pool and a gym. These features separate the complex from surrounding courses in Bangalore and present potential to rise and become internationally revered. Troon’s experience in upscale golf course management will be integral in this development and their well decorated staff will ensure that results.

Mr. Harish Shetty, President KGA, commented “We are delighted to be able to call on the worldwide expertise that Troon International provides and look forward to seeing improvements to the course condition as a result of their advice.”

KGA is the second course that Troon International work with in Bangalore following Prestige Golfshire Club which has been part of the Troon family for more than seven years.
