TUMBLE BROOK COUNTRY CLUB UNVEILS ENHANCED JUNIOR PROGRAM

Bloomfield, Conn. (July 15, 2021) – Tumble Brook Country Club located in Bloomfield, Conn. just outside of Hartford, recently unveiled a new juniors program aimed at introducing young golfers to the game. The new juniors program is led by PGA Teaching Professional Evan Lambert in partnership with the Northeast Performance Institute and is open to the public, with Tumble Brook members having first access to class registration.

The junior program follows the Operation 36 platform, which is a long-term family coaching program designed to progress golfers towards shooting par or better for 9 holes. Golfers of all ages and abilities can join Tumble Brook’s junior program and begin progressing through the six levels of development. Each junior golfer (and a parent/guardian) will be issued a profile in the Operation 36 App where they can view objectives, log golf actions/practices, track progress, and connect with friends in the social activity feed. The Operation 36 framework provides the best possible environment to help golfers improve and achieve their goals.

“Tumble Brook is such a family-friendly club, we’re really excited to be growing our juniors program,” said Lambert. “Through the Operation 36 platform, juniors get to master the game and parents can track along with progress reports through their app.”

Tumble Brook Country Club’s history dates back to 1922. The club’s first 9-holes, designed by legendary golf course architect Willie Park Jr., opened in 1924. In 1949, 9 Orrin Smith-designed holes were added. And, in the fall of 1970 the third 9-holes, designed by George Fazio, opened for play. In 2005, work was completed on a 27-hole course renovation directed by Mark McCumber and Associates.

Tumble Brook members enjoy a wide range of recreational and social activities at the club’s well-equipped facilities. Family-friendly amenities include five Har-Tru tennis courts, two paddle tennis courts, a 25-yard heated pool, kiddie pool and play area. The golf practice facilities include a practice putting green, bunker area and a chipping green. Tumble Brook’s 40,000 square-foot clubhouse features full service golf and tennis pro shops, casual indoor and outdoor dining options, private meeting and banquet rooms, a ballroom with seating for up to 300, men’s and women’s locker and card rooms.
