The newest member of the Troon Privé family — the private club operating division of Troon — is Parkland Golf & Country Club in Parkland, Fla. Troon will oversee golf and sports club operations, food and beverage operations, as well golf course agronomy and club/membership marketing.
Located between Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, Parkland Golf & Country Club is a premier private community with a full suite of club amenities for residents. At the heart of the community is the luxurious 43,000-square-foot Sports and Social Club, with a state-of-the-art fitness center, steam and spa treatment rooms, two resort-style pools, two splash pads for children, 10 tennis courts (including nine Har-Tru clay courts), a children’s playground, and pavilion.
A par-72 Greg Norman Signature golf course winds its way through the 792-acre community. Opened for member play in 2004, the course measures 7,118-yards from the championship tees. In addition to reflecting Norman’s design philosophy of putting what Mother Nature has given on a particular site to creative use — in this case lush tropical landscaping and an abundance of water — the course has been awarded the prestigious Certified Gold status as an Audubon International Signature Sanctuary.
“Parkland Golf & Country Club is a spectacular community with an active, family-oriented membership,” said Ricardo Catarino, vice president, operations, Troon. “We are thrilled to be working with the Board and HOA as we look to further elevate the member and guest experiences at both the golf club and sports club.”
Parkland’s modern Tuscan-style clubhouse features a fully stocked golf shop, lounges, locker rooms, and Ninety-One, a restaurant named in honor of Norman’s professional victories. Members enjoy a stylish indoor bar and lounge for evening cocktails as well as a beach-themed, poolside mixed grill and bar area for daytime socializing.
Parkland Golf & Country Club is also capable of hosting elaborate parties for up to 300 people in the large banquet room or more intimate gatherings of 35 people or less in the smaller dining rooms.
“The Parkland Golf & Country Club homeowners and homeowners association are thrilled to be working with Troon Privé,” said Parkland Golf & Country Club Board President David Gott. “The Board of Directors feel that Troon is a best-in-class company and will bring solid management, innovative programs, and attention to detail to our club. Parkland Golf will strive to be a member-centric club with complete focus on a wonderful experience. Troon will be integral in achieving that vision.”
Full golf members receive exclusive access to the extraordinary golf and lifestyle benefits throughout the world through the Troon Privé Privileges program. That includes enjoying access to private courses and amenities, opportunities to experience resort and daily fee locations at preferred rates, as well as Cliff Drysdale Tennis.
Plus, all members of Troon Privé-managed clubs receive benefits with Avis rental cars, Ship Sticks, entertainment offers, marinas, and more.
