Its “Kapalua Week” on the PGA TOUR as the Sentry Tournament of Champions tees off on the Plantation Course at Kapalua. This years event marks the 24th playing of the event on the Plantation Course and boast one of its strongest fields in tournament history, with thirty-nine PGA TOUR winners that includes four FedExCup champions, 23 of the top 30 from the final 2020-21 FedExCup standings, eight of the top 10 in the Official World Golf Ranking, and eight of the top 10 in the current 2021-22 FedExCup standings.
Representing Team Troon this week at the Sentry Tournament of Champions is two time Sentry TOC winner, Justin Thomas!
“It’s always great to be back,” Thomas said after his practice round on Tuesday, “I think the views behind me speak for itself. It’s just a place that I’m very comfortable being. It’s a fun golf course. It’s just kind of a laid back, feels like relaxed type vibe, but at the same time there’s going to be a winner crowned at the end of the week.”

Coverage begins daily January 6th – 9th on Golf Channel and ESPN+ (in many places in the world this places Kapalua and the Sentry in Prime Time). On the final Sunday Round coverage will be included on NBC from 4pm – 6pm EST then transitions to Golf Channel from 6pm-9pm EST. So tune into to pull for JT and see the results of the amazing work the Kapalua’s agronomic and operational team have done to prepare for this year’s event.
