PGA TOUR – Dell Technologies Match Play

The PGA TOUR made the first of two stops Lone Star State to compete in the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play event at Austin Country Club. This event is structured in a bracket style match play which falls during the NCAA March Madness season.  Matt Fitzpatrick, Matt Kuchar, Alex Noren were all competing.

Matt Kuchar went the furthest amongst Team Troon making it into the Round of 16. His “wins” to get him to that point, were notable in that he tied Tiger Woods record of winning 36 matches in tournament. Great playing Matt.

Also congrats is in order to Troon investor/supporter Rory McIlroy who made it to the “Final Four” of the WGC-Del Technologies Match Play. He fell just shy of getting into the final match, but would go on to beat defending champion Scottie Scheffler to capture the consolation bracket.
