Team Troon On Tour: Kuchar with a Top 20 Finish at Colonial

Troon - Team Troon On Tour

To the World of Troon…

PGA TOUR – Charles Schwab Challenge

The last Texas stop on the PGA Tour schedule was this past week’s Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial. Team Troon had two players in the field in Matt Kuchar and Gary Woodland. Woodland was the talk of the tournament after a second-round 64, vaulting him to page one of the leaderboard (and his lowest round this year following his epic return to professional golf). Matt Kuchar ultimately led Team Troon with a T17 finish at -2.

  • T17 Matt Kuchar: 68-69-73-68 = 278 / -2
  • T45 Gary Woodland: 72-64-70-76 = 282 / +2

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS – KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship

The PGA TOUR Champions teed up another major last week at the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship held in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Colin Montgomerie (rocking his all-Troon bag) finished strong with a final-round 69 to push him into T47 for the event. Solid final round and tournament, Colin!

  • T43 Colin Montgomerie: 72-71-74-69 = 286 / +2

DP World Tour – Soudal Open

The DP World Tour stopped Antwerp, Belgium last week for the Soudal Open. Alex Fitzpatrick played well all week, earning his fourth top-20 finish of the calendar year at -12, just six shots shy of tournament winner Nacho Elvira.

  • T18 Alex Fitzpatrick: 66-68-70-68 = 272 / -12

The PGA Tour heads to Canada for the RBC Canadian Open. Team Troon will be well represented with Erik van Rooyen, Matt Kuchar, Alex Noren and Gary Woodland. Troon investor and supporter Rory McIlroy also returns to the field for this year’s tournament. Go Team Troon!

While Team Troon’s Benedetta Moresco will not be in the field for this week’s US Women’s Open in Lancaster, PA, she will return to the U.S. after some family time in Italy to compete in the Shoprite LPGA Classic on Troon Turf at Seaview! Go low that week Benny, and we can’t wait to see Seaview and the team execute another great LPGA Tour event!

DP World Tour
Alex Fitzpatrick
and the DP World Tour head to Hamburg Germany for the European Open. Go low Alex!

PGA TOUR Champions
Next up for the PGA Tour Champions is yet another event operated by Eventive Sports…the Principal Charity Classic at Wakonda Club in Des, Moines Iowa.  Since 2007, this event has raised more than $53M for Iowa children’s charities. The Pro-Ams take place Wednesday and Thursday with tournament play beginning on Friday. Watch the tournament live on the Golf Channel this Sunday, June 2nd from 2:30-5:30pm ET.  Team Troon’s Colin Montgomerie will be in field and the World of Troon will be tuning into what we are confident will be another stellar event executed to perfection by our team with Eventive Sports!  Go Colin! Go Team Eventive Sports!

Have a great week. Go Team Troon!
