Team Troon on Tour: Montgomerie with a T3 Finish, All Six PGA TOUR Members in Fed Ex Cup Playoffs

The Team Troon headliner from this weekend came from the newest member of Team Troon, Colin Montgomerie in the first major of the Champions Tour restart. All week long it seemed that the field was chasing eventual winner and first time Champions Tour Major winner in Jerry Kelly for the title of the Bridgestone Senior Players Championship.  Colin played well on a stout Firestone routing that had left two players finishing under par for the week. As such Colin’s even par finish earned him a strong T3 finish. Some interesting tournament stat totals showed him finishing 1st in the field in Scrambling percentage (which @ChampionsTour picked up on with this Tweet showing a great up and down seen below)  and 2nd in the field in terms of driving accuracy for the week. Congrats Colin on your T3 Major Finish!
