Team Troon On Tour: Noren Earns Low Team Troon at The Open Championship

From pot bunkers to extreme weather on Sunday, it was an entertaining week at Royal Liverpool Golf Club for the 151^st Open Championship. Many of Team Troon was represented in the field with strong scores despite the challenges of the course and changing weather conditions. Low Team Troon member was Alex Noren, Noren started off hot with a first round 68 and would finish within the Top 25 at even par. Matt Fitzpatrick, donning a cool custom Sheffield United inspired Troon Bag (more on that later) would finish next at T41, followed by Gary Woodland at T55. Troon Investor/Supporter Rory McIlroy, coming off a great win last week at the Genesis Scottish Open, finished T6 -6. Another fun note of the week is Team Troon member Matt Fitzpatrick’s brother Alex was in the field playing as well. His name constantly moving around the top 20 all week to then conclude the event T17. Congrats is in order to the ultimate winner of the Open Championship in Brian Harman. He had gritty play all week/weekend in adverse conditions.

• T41 Matt Fitzpatrick: 72-72-67-75 = 286 / +2
• T55 Gary Woodland: 73-71-73-72 = 286 / +5

LPGA-Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational

The LPGA Tour made their stop in Michigan. Team Troon Yealimi Noh and partner Soo Bin Joo played some good golf to get them in top 30 for the tournament. This event is very unique to the LPGA as the rounds alternate from a four-ball format to alternate shot.

• T29 Yealimi Noh + Soo Bin Joo: 68-65-74-65 = 272 / -8

COMING UP

PGA TOUR-3M Open

After weeks of the PGA schedule overseas, the PGA TOUR is back on American soil and playing in the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in Minneapolis. Matt Kuchar, Alex Noren, Gary Woodland and Justin Thomas will be in the field.

PGA Champions Tour – Senior Open Championship

It is now the Champions Tour turn to compete for their Open Championship. They will be playing at Royal Porthcawl Golf Course located in Wales. Look for Colin Montgomerie (with his all Troon bag) to play well
