PGA TOUR – Genesis Invitational

The PGA TOUR made its last stop in California at the Genesis Invitational at Riviera CC. Like last week at WM Phoenix Open, Team Troon was well represented. This week’s event featured four Team Troon members competing with three of the four Team Troon members playing into the weekend. Low Team Troon member was Justin Thomas. JT, after a second round 64 was at the top of the leaderboard throughout the weekend. He would ultimately finish -13 at T6 for the Tournament. Alex Noren and Matt Kuchar would finish T48 and T67 respectively.

  • T6 Justin Thomas: 67-64-70-70 = 271 / -13
  • T48 Alex Noren: 70-70-72-69 = 281 / -3
  • T67 Matt Kuchar: 69-73-71-71 = 284 / Even

PGA Champions Tour – Chubb Classic

Congrats again to the entire Tiburón Golf Club team who hosting a great Chubb Classic this past week. The conclusion of the Chubb Classic marked an incredible run where over three months, Tiburón Golf Club hosted the LPGA Tour (CME Group Tour Championship in November), PGA TOUR (QBE Shootout in December) and the PGA TOUR Champions (Chubb Classic in February 2022). Congrats Team Tiburón! Well done. Bernhard Langer would capture his 43rd PGA Champions Tour victory with a -16 tournament total on Tiburon’s Black Course.

Speaking of Congrats…Congrats is in order for Colin Montgomerie, who made his 2022 PGA Champions Tour debut at the Chubb Classic, donning his all Troon Bag. Colin would play great and finish T12 at -6. Well played Colin!
