David D'Souza and his wife and children at Prestige Golfshire Club

David D’Souza started playing golf when he was 8 which means he has been playing for nearly 41 years. Read how his family, his wife Leila and twin girls, enjoy time together on the golf course at Prestige Golfshire Club in Bangalore, India.

How did you get into golf?

My fascination for the game of golf started when I was around 8 years of age. I used to follow my brother who was 10 years older than me around the golf course and watch him win tournaments. I only started playing golf when I was 16 years old as I was busy playing other sports in school. I’ve been playing golf for almost 41 years now and can’t get enough of it.

How did you introduce your family to golf?

I gifted my wife a golf set for her birthday in the first year of our marriage. She took a keen interest in golf and started practicing. However, we soon learned that we were expecting twins and she had to defer her tryst with golf. We then made a wish and promise to get back to the golf course with our twins as a family of four.
