The Falls Club Assistant Golf Professional Alan Morin competes in 2016 The Honda Classic

Lake Worth, Fl. Feb 23, 2016 – Members and staff at The Falls Club have yet another reason to celebrate. They’re rooting this week for the club’s assistant Golf Professional Alan Morin as he competes alongside some of golf’s top names in the 2016 The Honda Classic.

Morin earned his exemption to compete in The Honda Classic after winning the South Florida PGA Section Championship. The event also earned him the title of South Florida PGA Player of the Year for the 8th time since 1998. He also won the South Florida Open last year.

At The Honda Classic, Morin joins a field of fan favorites including world No. 2 Rory McIlroy, No. 9 Patrick Reed, No. 11 Branden Grace, No. 12 Hideki Matsuyama, No. 16 Sergio Garcia, No. 17 Kevin Kisner, No. 18 Adam Scott, and No. 19 Brooks Koepka.

Currently in his 14th season at The Falls Club, Morin has worked in all aspects of the golf operation. He attended Ferris State University where he was the 1989 Most Valuable Player, medalist at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship and a member of the All-Conference Team. After joining The PGA of America in 1996, Morin played in 2 U.S. Opens and 6 PGA Championships. He also competed in several PGA TOUR events including the Ford Championship at Doral, The Puerto Rico Open and seven previous times in The Honda Classic. He also qualified for the USA PGA Cup Team in 2003 and 2015, competing against Great Britain and Ireland.

Last month members of The Falls Club celebrated completion of a $3 million dollar capital improvement project that embraced a new lifestyle brand, new members, spectacular enhancements to its Gentleman Joe Lee signature championship golf course and an inspired club house redesign.
