Team Troon On Tour: Thomas and Woodland with Top 15 finishes at Wells Fargo
PGA TOUR- Wells Fargo Championship
The PGA TOUR played Quail Hollow Golf Course this week for the Wells Fargo Championship. Justin Thomas came into the event as a strong favorite having captured his first major at Quail Hollow (the 2017 PGA Championship). He and four other Team Troon members were in the field with four total making it to weekend play at this designated event. We saw two eagles from two Team Troon players in the event (that got some additional coverage) in Justin Thomas and Gary Woodland. Both of which would lead Team Troon with four round totals of -8 to finish T14. Complete Team Troon scores follow:
- T14 Gary Woodland: 69-69-67-71 = 276 / -8
- T14 Justin Thomas: 68-67-70-71 = 276 / -8
- T23 Matt Kuchar: 72-67-68-72 =279 /-5
- T35 Matt Fitzpatrick: 69-70-72-70 = 281 / -3
PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS – Mitsubishi Electric Classic
It was another solid week for Team Troon Colin Montgomerie. Coming off his T3 finish last week, it is now his second week in a row placing in the top 10 and posting -8 for the tournament to finish T10. Good playing Colin!

COMING UP
PGA TOUR-AT&T Byron Nelson
The PGA TOUR is heading to a player favorite in Dallas, Texas for the AT&T Byron Nelson. Matt Kuchar is in the field (and has played quite well in Texas). Fun fact: The tournament is the leading fundraiser for charity on the PGA TOUR and has raised more than $143 million. It is also just one of two tournaments on tour that is named after a professional golfer. Other being the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS-The Tradition
It’s a short jump for the Champions Tour as they travel to Birmingham, Alabama to play in The Tradition at Greystone Founders Course. It is one of five Senior Major Championships on the Champions Tour. Colin Montgomerie is in the field and ready to build upon his previous two top 10’s.
LPGA TOUR- Cognizant Founders Cup
The LPGA Tour is heading to New Jersey this week and playing in the Cognizant Founders Cup. Team Troon Yealimi Noh is currently on track to qualify for the CME Globe Tournament at the end of the year and we look forward to her playing well this week to keep climbing up the ranks!

While the LPGA Tour had an off week, Team Troon member Yealimi Noh stopped by Golfzon Social this past Sunday at Palisades Mall this Sunday for a special Q&A. She spoke about her life on tour, played some holes at Pebble Beach as well as gave some swing tips to guests.
