Team Troon - Matt Fitzpatrick, Justin Thomas, Gary Woodland, Yealimi Noh, Matt Kuchar, Alex Noren, Bubba Watson, Cheyenne Woods & Colin Montgomerie

PGA TOUR- PGA Championship

This last week was the second major of the year in the PGA Championship at Oak Hill in Rochester, NY. The conditions were certainly challenging as all of the players had to overcome, wind, rain and more (thankfully ending with a sunny Sunday finish). Justin Thomas, the defending champion was low Team Troon member finishing T65. Other highlights this week included Troon Investor/Supporter Rory McIlroy getting another Top 10 in the major, finishing T7 with a four round total of -2 for the tournament. Well done.

  • T65 Justin Thomas: 72-73-75-72 = 292 / +12

While not Team Troon per say, it was certainly exciting to see PGA Professional Michael Block get the hole in one in the final round and capture the hearts of fans enroute to his T15 finish. That performance was a great reminder of the fact that the PGA Championship is also a great week to reflect on all of the work our PGA Professionals execute each and every day throughout the World of Troon.

Fun Fact: Troon is the largest employer of PGA Professionals. We THANK EACH OF YOU (plus those working to make that your next career step) for all of our tireless efforts to grow the game and to grow the business for our clients/courses. THANK YOU!

From the week prior..

PGA TOUR- AT&T Byron Nelson

The week prior to the PGA Championship Matt Kuchar was the sole Team Troon member playing at the AT&T Byron Nelson. Overall it was a low scoring event (Jason Day won with a -23 total) and Kuchar stayed low all four of his rounds to finish at -12 and T43

  • T43 Matt Kuchar: 67-68-69-68 = 272 / -12

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS – The Tradition

That same week, was another consistent week from Team Troon member Colin Montgomerie. The Tradition was one of a few the PGA TOUR Champions play that is four rounds instead of three. Regardless of adding another round, Montgomerie, for the third week in a row, posted up an -8 for the tournament.

  • T23 Colin Montgomerie: 72-69-69-70 = 280 / -8

LPGA TOUR- Cognizant Founders Cup

Following her visit to the Golfzon Social in New York, Yealimi Noh made her way to the Cognizant Founders Cup in New Jersey. She would open with a first round 69 and would finish T59. Fun fact, Yealimi averaged 273 yards off the tee that week.

  •  T59 Yealimi Noh: 69-76-73-75 = 293 / +5
