Trump Turnberry Resort

Trump Turnberry is the world’s first golf resort with over a century of hospitality and tradition. Recently named the 2019 Best Golf Resort in Europe by LeadingCourses.com, Turnberry is bucket list destination for any discerning golfer. The legendary Ailsa is ranked as the number 1 course in the UK & Ireland 2019 by Golf Monthly. This famed links course has had the privilege of hosting the Open Championship four times, including the unforgettable 1977 Duel in the Sun between Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson. Set alongside the glorious Ayrshire coastline, with Arran and Ailsa Craig as a stunning backdrop, it is one of the finest golfing experiences in the world. Turnberry’s iconic lighthouse, which has acted as a timeless beacon for golfers from across the world, has also re-emerged as the world’s most impressive half way house. Situated on the cusp of the rocky coastline, stop and enjoy a refreshment while marvelling not only at the new challenges laid out by this magnificent course, but the panoramic beauty of the surrounding scenery. The lighthouse has also been transformed into a luxurious two-bedroom suite, perfect for guests looking for something a little more lavish and bespoke. In 2017, Turnberry unveiled its newest golf course, the magnificent King Robert the Bruce. The course is named after the King of Scotland, Robert the Bruce, the historical warrior who led Scotland to claim its right as an independent country in the Battle of Bannockburn in June 1314. He was born in July 1274 in Turnberry Castle, which Turnberry Lighthouse now stands amongst the ruins of. Breath taking vistas from the 8th 9th, 10th and 11th delight golfers, with spectacular views of Turnberry’s stunning coastline, castle ruins and the lighthouse. Complementing Turnberry’s world class courses are a state of the art golf academy, fitting studio, 9-hole Arran course and par 3 Wee Links course. With unrivalled views overlooking the rugged Ayrshire coastline, the resort is an enchanting destination with a range of opulent accommodation, relaxing spa, leisure facilities and restaurants.
