Lon Grundy has been named general manager of golf operations at The World Golf Village Resort in St. Augustine, Florida. Home to two award-winning golf courses, the King & Bear and Slammer & Squire, the golf and club operations at The World Golf Village are professionally managed by Troon’s Honours Golf Division.
A highly experienced general manager, Grundy brings 28 years of club-operations experience to the popular resort. Grundy is a 20-year Class A member of the PGA of America and has served as general manager at several world-class properties, including: Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.; PGA West La Quinta Resort & Club in Calif.; and Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia. Additionally, Grundy served for five years as a regional director at Troon’s corporate headquarters in Scottsdale, where he oversaw properties in multiple states and five Caribbean islands.

The Slammer & Squire course was designed by architect Bobby Weed in conjunction with Hall of Fame Members Sam Snead (the “Slammer”) and Gene Sarazen (the “Squire”).
