Team Troon On Tour: Three T20 Finishes At The Open Championship

Congratulations is certainly in order for Shane Lowry…winning the 148th Open Championship at Royal Portrush…on home soil…toughing out a challenging Sunday/final round, weather wise. We are sure Ireland had quite the party last night.

Shifting gears to Team Troon…Team Troon also played well and represented well this week. Five of Six Team Troon players played into the weekend. Justin Thomas and Alex Noren led Team Troon finishes, both finishing T11 at -3. These strong finishes were notable in that Justin continues to get into form (following his April wrist injury) and Alex Noren (who took a few weeks off to practice and prepare – ie his last start was the BMW International where he finished T26), had what is his highest finish for 2019. Matt Fitzpatrick ran his way into a T20 finish at -1 (making many highlights/social action with his “run” up 18…to get out of the tough/inclement weather on Sunday). Patrick Cantlay and Matt Kuchar finished in T41 at +2.
