Dumbarnie Links re-opens for the season this week and it is a bucket list golf course not to miss in 2023. Opened in 2020 and only 20 minutes’ drive from St Andrews, Dumbarnie Links is on many golfers ‘Must Play’ lists. The topography of this 345-acre site allows for panoramic water views from fourteen holes on what is classified as ‘genuine links land’. The clubhouse is situated 100 feet above sea level with spectacular sweeping views across the golf course and the bay. Plus it has a golfing history that dates as far back as 1837!

And Dumbarnie Links is a host venue at the 2023 Old Course Hotel Pro-Am. Celebrating the best of Scottish golf and hospitality, the Pro-Am is played over three fantastic tournament rounds at The Home of Golf and in collaboration with the PGA in Scotland. The event includes three outstanding championship courses with The Duke’s, Kingsbarns Golf Links and Dumbarnie Links as the host venues. Combined with the luxurious accommodation options within the award-winning Old Course Hotel, this five-star experience is sure to become a firm favourite on the tours’ calendar.

David Scott, General Manager at Dumbarnie Links commented, “Dumbarnie Links is thrilled to co-hosting such an exciting 3-day Pro Am, alongside world class golf courses, Kingsbarns Golf Links and The Duke’s.   With accommodation being provided at the magnificent Old Course Hotel, guests are sure to have a most memorable time in the Home of Golf.”

A strong field of professionals are expected, and so the 9 under par, 63, recorded by 1999 Open Champion, Paul Lawrie OBE may well be under threat.
