Name Your Foursome

Golf Digest is teaming with the USGA and NBC for another U.S. Open contest.

The Golf Digest U.S. Open Challenge is similar to last year’s contest that paired Tony Romo (shot 84), Justin Timberlake (shot 98), Matt Lauer (shot 100) and contest winner John Atkinson (shot 114) together at Torrey Pines.

Michael Jordan is the first celebrity to commit to playing in the foursome at the 2009 U.S. Open host site – Bethpage Black. Jordan will play with the contest winner a couple days before the U.S. Open, along with two other celebs who haven’t been announced yet.

So, if you won the contest and could pick the remaining two celebrities, who would they be? (Justin Timberlake might be returning but let’s agree that we can kick him out)

Would you have any chance of breaking 100? – be honest, it’s Bethpage Black at U.S. Open conditions, with Jordan, under USGA rules and on NBC! Tiger was the only one to break par at Bethpage Black at the 2002 U.S. Open.

By the way, here’s a great quote by Jordan about how he thinks he’ll play at Bethpage Black – “…if I shoot anything over 100, I might as well put my game in the bag. If Justin Timberlake can break 100, I know damn well I can.”
