TROON-AFFILIATED COURSES SWEEP THE BOARD AT 59CLUB AWARDS
Troon congratulates their teams and ownerships for success at 59Club Awards in recognition of their service excellence
Dubai, UAE (12 April 2022): Troon, the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing, is congratulating several of its international properties after they came away with some of the top prizes at the 59Club Annual Service ‘Excellence’ Awards in the UK, and Middle East and Africa. The big winner on the night in Dubai was Yas Links Abu Dhabi who gained four awards after scooping Golf Agronomy Team of the Year, Golf Operations Team of the Year, Gold Flag Designation and the leading award of the night, the Ultimate Service Excellence Award.
Other Troon properties which were honoured on the night included Saadiyat Beach Golf Club who were awarded Golf Retail Team of the Year, The Els Club, Dubai who claimed Golf Membership Team of the Year and Emaar’s Montgomerie Golf Club, who won the Food and Beverage Team of the Year. Also Troon International’s The Grove property in the UK also came away with the top prize for the Leading Individual Golf Sales Performance as well as The Greenkeeper and Golf Manager of the Year awards at the UK edition.

The 59Club Awards celebrate the very best in industry excellence – its gold, silver and bronze flag designations are awarded to those venues that have delivered the most consistent golf experiences in that calendar year. The 59club looks to single out properties that provide excellent facilities for golfers to enjoy, as well as having achieved the required standard of service throughout the year. The winners in the 59club Service Excellence Awards are determined by scores collected from its impartial mystery shopping audits, which evaluate the experience afforded to visiting golfers and prospective members, in accordance with objective benchmarking criteria over a period of 12 months.
As such, Troon’s wall-to-wall success in this year’s awards demonstrates their continued and growing presence within world golf in terms of overseeing some of the finest venues across the globe. The highlight of the awards for Troon International was of course Yas Links Abu Dhabi who in scooping four gongs proved that they are on a serious roll after hosting the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship earlier this year for the first time in the tournament’s history.
