In the more than two decades that I’ve been part of the Troon family, I can say without a doubt that I have never been prouder of our company than I have been these past difficult months. The compassion, volunteerism, and commitment to helping others in need displayed by the Troon family has been both humbling and inspirational. The dedication to our clients and customers has been manifest and resolute.
The same can be said for the many owners and golf industry partners we work with throughout the United States and around the world. The outpouring of generosity and true embrace of community in the face of crisis is impressive.
This special issue of TROON Magazine shares many of those “Troon Moments” stories. From sewing masks for medical workers to donating to food banks, “good deeds are happening every day during these remarkable times,” as the lead to the article articulates.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of every 2020 Arizona Summer Troon Card is being donated to St. Mary’s Food Bank right here in Arizona. That action, combined with food donation boxes set up at six Troon-managed golf courses in the area, we hope has helped to be a small contributor to the effort to alleviate one of the most important issues brought to light by the current health crisis: food insecurity.
Also, Troon will donate a portion of every 2020 Midwest Troon Card sold through May 15th to Feeding America, a hunger relief organization with a nationwide network of food banks.
To the men, women, and companies who have stepped up to assist others in their time of need, my heartfelt thanks. Your actions make this world a better place.
Stay safe and healthy all.
Tim Schantz, Troon President & CEO
