Team Troon On Tour: Kuchar & Fitzpatrick with T20 finishes in Canada

PGA TOUR- RBC Canadian Open

The PGA crossed the border up to Canada last this week to play in the RBC Canadian Open. Troon investor/supporter in Rory McIlroy came in as the defending champion and two Team Troon members were in the field, in Matt Kuchar and Matt Fitzpatrick. Both finished strong with T20 finishes at 8 under par. A cool factoid was that Matt Kuchar carded a bogey free round on his opening round on Thursday. Great results by both Matt’s in preparation for this week’s US Open.

• T20 Matt Kuchar: 71-71-70-68 = 280 / -8
• T20 Matt Fitzpatrick: 68-73-69-70 = 280 / -8

PGA CHAMPIONS TOUR- American Family Insurance Open

Team Troon member Colin Montgomerie was in the field for the American Family Insurance Open where he carded every round in the 60’s and finished tied for  4^th for the event! Great playing Colin!

This event is particularly special for the Champions Tour, Steve Stricker as the American Family Insurance Foundation that was founded by Stricker. For the first time in tournament history it was he who won the event.

LPGA Shoprite Classic – at the Troon-managed Seaview Golf Club

Congrats again to the entire Seaview Golf Club team on hosting a truly remarkable LPGA Shoprite Classic! Ashleigh Buhai won for the fourth time worldwide in 10 months when she collected her second LPGA victory at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. Thank you to every member of the Seaview team, who truly worked tirelessly last week to put on an amazing LPGA Shoprite Classic. #WeAreTroon

COMING UP

PGA TOUR- U.S. Open

The third major of the year is here as the U.S. Open has landed in Los Angeles at Las   for the US Open. This is a particularly exciting week for Team Troon as it was last year’s US Open that Matt Fitzpatrick took home his first tour and major win at Brookline! Fitzpatrick was the second man to win a U.S. Amateur and U.S. Open on the same course, joining Jack Nicklaus who turned the trick at Pebble Beach. In 2019 Team Troon Gary Woodland won his first major at the U.S. Open contested at Pebble Beach Golf Links. Five Team Troon members are competing in the U.S. Open. Go Team Troon!

LPGA Meijer Classic

Michigan is the next stop on the LPGA schedule as they head to the Meijer Classic. Last year, Team Troon Yealimi Noh carded 15 birdies on the course last year and finished a -6 for the tournament. Go low this week Yealimi!
