PGA CHAMPIONS TOUR – The Senior Open
It was major week on the PGA Champions Tour with the Senior Open presented by Rolex at Gleneagles Golf Course in Scotland. Like he’s done in previous majors this year, Colin Montgomerie played in brilliant fashion. Colin would put together three solid rounds to start which would get him to the page one of the leaderboard and on the final round would get him (and his All Troon bag) plenty of TV time on the Golf Channel/then NBC broadcast. Ultimately, his final round 69 would have him finish -7 for the championship, just three shots shy of eventual winner in Darren Clarke. Congrats on another great major showing Colin.

Fun Fact: Last year Dumbarnie Links played host to the 2021 Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open. Via the global television coverage, the world saw amazing golf played on this stunning Clive Clark-designed links course. Ryan O’Toole captured the championship with a three shot victory (-17) over Lydia Ko and Atthaya Thitikui. While the event is in a new locale, Dumbarnie Links continues to wow traveling golfers making their pilgrimage to Scotland.
PGA TOUR Champions – Shaw Charity Classic
The PGA TOUR Champions has in essence a week off ahead to Canada for the Shaw Charity Classic (August 5-7). Look for Colin Montgomerie to continue his hot play that week.
