First off, congrats is in order to the entire membership, along with the Troon Privé operational and agronomic teams for putting on a great season ending event in the Charles Schwab Cup Championship. The coverage on Golf Channel was great and the event crowned a great champion in Padraig Harrington and a very worthy Charles Schwab Cup champion in Steve Alker. Team Troon was represented at the event with Colin Montgomerie making the field of top 36 Charles Schwab Point Leaders. Colin would play well all week at Phoenix Country Club posting a four round total of -10 and finishing T12. Solid playing Colin and congrats again to the Phoenix CC Team!

More on this is below. In advance of that, best of luck to the entire Tiburón Team!

 PGA TOUR – RSM Classic

Shareable

In advance of the Charles Schwab Cup finale at Phoenix Country Club, Colin Montgomerie shared his excitement for qualifying for the event for 9 successive times with a great social post that tagged @phxcountryclub and @Troon to his 25K followers on Instagram. Thank you Colin!

Colin also retweeted the @Troon tweet to his 63K followers following his second round 66. Thank you Colin for all of the great social love this past week.

In staying in the vein of hosting events, congrats to our Troon International team on hosting a number of professional events last week and best of luck to Tiburón Golf Club  on what will be an exciting three event stretch of hosting events. Both recaps and “what’s to come” is detailed as follows:

Madinaty Golf Club in Cairo, Egypt, hosted the Asian Tour this past weekend and it looked stunning on television. Many of the Tour players visited the Giza Pyramids…what a cool of a bucket list experience. Hats off to Josh North, Will Righton, the entire Madinaty – Troon International team and ownership TMG,  on hosting the first professional event in over a decade in Egypt, and the first Asian Tour event in the country. The event was won by Andy Ogletree with a three round total of -15 over Bernd Wiesberger.

Staying International, Royal Greens Golf & Country Club hosted yet another tour event. This time the Aramco Team Series finale on the Ladies European Tour visited this stunning Troon International locale. Once again a huge congratulations to the team at Royal Greens for delivering tournament conditions, led by GM Saaed and Superintendent Gabriel. Team Garcia was victorious while 16 year old Chiara Noja won the individual event beating Charley Hull in a playoff. Well done to all involved.

And for those that might not yet have seen the press release that dropped today,  Tiburón Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples begins an incredible run this week of hosting three professional golf events over a four-month stretch. Tiburón is the only golf facility in the world to host LPGA Tour, PGA TOUR Champions and PGA TOUR-sanctioned tournaments. The LPGA Tour’s season-ending CME Group Tour Championship will be played this week (November 17 – 20, 2022), followed by the QBE Shootout, a PGA TOUR Challenge Event, December 7 – 11, 2022 (that has an exciting field which includes Team Troon member Matt Kuchar). After a two-month break, Tiburón will then play host to the PGA TOUR Champions’ Chubb Classic presented by SERVPRO, February 13 – 19, 2023. The latter of which will have Team Troon member Colin Montgomerie and his all Troon bag in the field. The CME Group Tour Championship and QBE Shootout will both played on Tiburón’s Gold Course, while the Chubb Classic will be contested on the Black Course at Tiburón. Best of luck to the entire Tiburón Team…this coming week and the next few months!

Have a great week. Thank you for all that you all do. Go Team Troon!
