Team Troon on Tour: The PGA TOUR is BACK!
The PGATOUR is back this week…leading all major sports, coming back to competitive play at the Charles Schwab Challenge held at historic Colonial Country Club in Texas. This will be the first event on Tour in three months and this one will be different…devoid of fans, firm handshakes and fairway hospitality.
But PGA Tour Golf is BACK! Ratings are anticipated to set records (as the Match V2 did) and a few players will be mic’d up…bringing cool perspective to conversations on the course. Other interesting items of note: the June date of the event are just three weeks later than the events customary slot in late May. In addition to broadcasting over Golf Channel, CBS (weekend), PGA Tour Live there will be a Twitter Multicast (6/11 – 1pm-2:30 EST) and it will feature nine different videostreams in which athletes, celebrities and other personalities will weigh in on the action, across over 20 Twitter accounts. It’s still an invitational, but the field was expanded to 144 to allow for more to get back into competitive golf.
Speaking of field…FIVE Team Troon players are in the field and ready to continue the momentum they had earlier in the year. Matt Fitzpatrick, Matt Kuchar, Alex Noren, Justin Thomas and Gary Woodland are all playing and headline a major-like contingent who is teeing up this week. So be sure to tune in…and as always, root for Team Troon!
Team Troon PGA TOUR players aren’t the only one in action. While the LPGA Tour has been paused, Cheyenne Woods has been competing with other fellow LPGA players in many regional mini tours. In fact, she recently took third place at the Cactus Tour event held at Troon North Golf Club…just shy of three time recent Cactus Tour winner and LPGA player Sophia Popov.

Prior to the Troon North event, she snuck up to Seven Canyons in Sedona to tee it up in the Red Rocks. Below was one of many social posts she did while on property.
While awaiting the LPGA tour restart, Cheyenne is in Florida right now, playing in Eggsland Best Tour over the next month (Click Here for schedule)… she is also playing/practicing at another Troon/Green Golf Partners locale in Tampa – Westchase Golf Club
