It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
Holidays are coming quickly and things can get out of hand fast, if you’re not disciplined and have a plan to get through these holidays, it’s possible you can throw away your fitness progress in a month. I’m here to help you set some goals and guidelines to help you enjoy these times, but also very much enjoy all the delicious foods in the future.
First, keep it clean and set specific days on when you know you’ll be eating more than normal without boundaries. Knowing when you’re having cheat days, gives you the simple satisfaction that you’re working towards something. It will trick your mind into having better workouts and keeping your eating habits strict knowing you’ll be able to eat whatever you want in the near future.
Next, plan your tougher workouts for the following days after your cheat meals and days. Your body is full of carbs and sugars its not used to having for the past days and weeks so your body will be fueled and capable of being pushed harder than before. Also, just to simply keep up with your routine in training and making sure you’re staying on top of things and holding yourself accountable.
Lastly, be consistent. Now is definitely not the time to slack or start missing workouts. Stay mentally strong and push yourself to get them all done if not more. You don’t want to lose everything you’ve worked for and then have to start over in the spring because summer is right around the corner. Keep at it, write out your workouts and enjoy the process.
